A few years ago this competition between the Nissan Leaf and the 2013 Ford Focus Electric wouldn’t have been happening. Not many years ago there were no choices available for mass produced electric cars. That is changing quickly in the 21st century as more and more car companies rush to bring a great electric car that works well to market. The 2011 Nissan Leaf may be coming out first, but we wanted to compare it to the 2013 Ford Focus Electric that will be coming out later. By doing this, you should see why both are great cars. That said, here at Briggs Nissan, we have a special place in our heart for the 2011 Nissan Leaf.
The engines in both cars are similar, but the Nissan Leaf has more torque and a higher top speed. We’re not sure how fast the Ford Focus Electric will do 0 to 60 yet, but it’s probably similar to the Nissan Leaf. There are many other differences in the two cars, but the Nissan Leaf is going to be able to be seen first. While there have been some delays for the 20,000 or more people who gave $99 to stand in line to get the car, there are more Leaf electrics on the way.
The Nissan Leaf for 2011 will be coming to Briggs Nissan eventually. For now, if you want to see all the other great Nissan models for 2011, stop in at Briggs Nissan – the premiere Nissan dealership in Kansas. While Ford continues to make quality automobiles, at the moment there’s nothing quite like driving a brand new Nissan. And with interest rates low and credit checks passing more easily these days, there’s never been a better time to buy a brand new Nissan. Let the sales team at Briggs Nissan show you why this is such a fine car company. We are sure there are many models you are going to love.
